David Pike’s new book, Franco y el Eje Roma-BerlÃn-Tokio: una alianza no firmada, has just been published in Madrid, Spain by Editorial Alianza. It includes sixteen photographs, most of them up to now unpublished, of Hitler’s and Mussolini’s inner circles; the photos were supplied by Süddeutsche Zeitung in Munich and Cinecittà Luce in Rome. The new work is not a simple translation of the 2008 Macmillan edition. Not only revisions but also reflections have been introduced, and it opens with a Prologue to the Spanish Reader that describes the experiences of the author while living in Murcia, Seville and Cordoba in the mid-1950s under the Franco regime.

Moving to Paris has taken a top rank amongst the most challenging things I have experienced in life so far. ÀÏ˾»úÊÓƵ – the classes, my colleagues, and the school staff – provided for me a sanity that I had lost! This program is phenomenal and is giving me opportunities to do some really cool things, such as being invited to intern for a summer at a school/community outreach program in Tanzania.
