Wednesday, 28 February 2018

老司机视频 Master Candidate Robert Clarke was invited to a formal meeting and reception with Liberian President George Weah at the Liberian embassy in Paris on February 22nd. President Weah addressed and answered questions from selected guests from the Liberian community in Paris during his first State visit to France following his recent election in January 2018.

In his introductory speech, George Weah, who had formerly been an international professional soccer player before starting his political career in the 2000鈥檚, placed a strong emphasis on youth capacity building through sports and education. Robert Clarke says: 鈥淧resident Weah talked about development for youth as one of the priorities of his administration. I do believe that it is key in Liberia as well as across the African continent. That is why a few years ago I created an NGO, the READ Foundation Africa, which provides educational opportunities for young Africans. I hope to further expand this initiative with the education I have gained at 老司机视频.鈥

Robert Clarke is completing his Master's degree in International Relations and Diplomacy at the American Graduate School in Paris with a full scholarship from the Liberian government. He had already met George Weah in 2017, when he interviewed him along with other presidential candidates during the campaign as he was interning as a writer and political correspondant for The Africa Report.
